Personal Life

Brooke Delaney was a successful scientist. Her childhood would give a glimpse of what would be a promising career. She was "smarter than her parents, always reading, talking, learning, and eager to share her knowledge with anyone who would listen." She was born in Eugene, Oregon. As a young person she had a prompt career path through winning the National Science fair and participating in STEM, it wasn’t a surprise she was going to go to an ivy league school. After obtaining a double bachelor’s degree in biochemistry-molecular biology and cell biology with an emphasis on virology at Columbia University, she wanted nothing more than to work at Wakefield Science Center. Brooke was described by her colleagues to be a witty and cunning individual. She was a self-driven scientist which lead her to the position of Lead Scientist on Project Rampart at Wakefield Science Center. She was in love with her work and devoted all her time to the research center. She was known to be in a relationship with her associate and co-lead Scientist on Project Rampart, Johnny Connors. Brooke had a hard time with finding a equal balance between her relationship with Connors and her research. Her whole life had always been dedicated to the research to find an ultimate cure to the large amount of infectious diseases. She loved Connors’ but didn’t know how to express her love without affecting the research she had spent her whole life on.

Game One

During the rush and break-in of the Research Facility Fallon Corvo Brooke Delaney was bitten/infected during the experimentation. After being infected Brooke took on a new persona. She displayed advanced intelligence and cognitive ability in comparison to all the other special infected. It was said that she would not respond to her name and would call herself “The Empress”. Dr. Connors found her after being infected and began to study her in order to learn more about her. During the breach of Research Center, Brooke had escaped. Dr. Connors knew of her breakout and was trying to cover for her and her activities from the humans until he could properly cure her or come up with a plan. During the infiltration of the Research Center the colonists managed to find information within the labs leading to a rudimentary cure and application device. But they were not the only ones who knew about the device as the Doctor had abandoned the Humans in fear they would Kill his love, and in turn informed the Empress and zombies of the human plans and the search for the application device.
