Aravene's most prominent symbol is a shepherd's crook with a scale on the end. She's often depicted as a shepherd figure, guiding mortals towards peace and order, especially in her Pandemos epithet, which has great stake in the affairs of mortals. A written contract is also a common icon associated with Aravene, representing her creating the laws of the Gods. It is often depicted with an angelic glow to it. Some stories interpret the laws of the Gods as a literal contract with written rules that can be removed and altered, albeit with great difficulty as it is guarded by Aravene herself.Origins
Aravene was one of the four primal goddesses spawned of the endless void and the First Progenitor God, along with her siblings Lacrima, Tamarea, and the God of Eldritch.Divine Epithets
Aravene Urania
Aravene's Urania epithet is representative of her pure, divine nature. This is the epithet that holds power over all divine magic and the epithet that rules over all other gods. Aravene Urania set the laws of the gods in place and is responsible for stopping those who break them. It is known as her most powerful epithet.Aravene Vaskos
Aravene's Vaskos epithet is usually just another name for her Urania epithet, but used in a more derogatory manner by followers of other gods, especially more malevolent ones. This epithet paints her as restrictive and uncaring, almost like a divine warden rather than a divine peacekeeper. It is the rarest of her epithets.Aravene Pandemos
Aravene Pandemos is the Aravene of the people. This epithet seeks order, justice, and retribution, particularly with mortals. Aravene Pandemos is often followed by law keepers and those working for the public order of society. Aravene Pandemos is prayed to when one feels wronged and seeks retribution towards those that wronged them.Mythology
