Acuthan - Inspiration to Create

This is my first attempt at a full world build. Some ideas and inspiration come from thoughts on big issues we face as a real world. But many also come from a simple image or phrase or book, etc. that sparks an emotion or a feeling of wonder. Somehow I want to evoke those reactions from readers and players... I'm hoping I'll realise how to do that as I go.

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending" - C.S. Lewis
"Human nature scares the hell out of me" - Neil degrasse Tyson
"It is never too late to be what you might have been" - George Eliot
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe" - Albert Einstein
"Never memorize something you can look up" - Albert Einstein
"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by" - Douglas Adams

I am loving that quote from C.S. Lewis. It immediately made me think about my protagonist. I love your inspiration board as well. Great layout, very beautiful.

Thank you so much for your comment. I put the C.S. Lewis quote first as it's where I feel I am. Helps to remind me to push myself to achieve what I can from this point on.

I am a great George Elliot fan and I agree with her quote! Also an excellent inspiration board I can see how this will keep you inspired all the way through the world building process . Nicely done!

Thank you @Shazr. I now like to think about what I can do rather than what I regret not trying before now. A much more positive way to be in mind. Thanks again.

Thought I'd come check out your board as you left a lovely comment on mine! :) "Human nature scares the hell out of me" - what a great quote! Definitely gives the vibe of what kind of stories you want to tell with your world.   Also I love that Yes Minister is one of your inspirations. I have many questions and I love it.

Thank you Serukis! This is my first world build and looking forward to Summer Camp. I would love to write novels set in the world. I'm just about to leave a comment on your foundation article as there are some things in there that I like and have some similar themes. Thanks again. Trevor.
