Vandil, the Plunderer of Hell
‘I will not give you my name, but I am a roamer, and a fighter. I grew to manhood younger than most, and with a weapon in my hand. I have seen many things that lesser men have not, I have won and lost many fights, and many friends, and many treasures of heaven and hell. I am despised by civil folk, and outcast by my own savage heritage. My quest is for might, and life.’
Vandil was born to a bandit and a whore in the savage heath-lands far to the north. He never knew his father, and his mother was slain by raiders. Taking pity on a young boy and admiring his fighting spirit, one of the raiders took Vandil into their band. He was instructed in the ways of warmaking and hardened by endless hiking and battling. He grew to great heights amongst the men whom he both loved and hated, but accusations of treachery fell upon him, and in the bloody aftermath, he left his dying surrogate father and vanished into the night-laden wilderness, alone.
