The World

In this world of magical Tarot Cards, people are bonded by divine powers. Every Tarot card and it's general meaning will be interpreted in this setting through characters, events, kingdoms, and even places. The aspects of this world, willingly or unknowingly, control Tarot cards that influence the balance in the world. A card cannot grant their owners immortality and therefore there is a possibility that ownership can be switched between lives. A tip in the scales can mean chaos since at rest the world is balanced between an equal amount of chaos and order. In other words, what brings chaos will soon end with order, eventually if it means order or chaos by divine intervention.   Stories told will often have connections to the divine. Whether brought out by an imbalance or seeking inspiration, adventurers will find a Tarot card to be an influence on their journey. It could be that characters seek out the plentiful resources of The Empress, encounter the cunning Ten of Swords mercenaries, or cross paths with The Fool and have themselves lost in their story. Any of these cards could have many connections with god, or just be a random spirit bored and that had decided to interfere with the characters.   The setting where gods have touched the earth can perfectly fit a classical era in history. Many parallels can be made between the stories in Greek or Roman mythology and how the surroundings have been formed. There will be legendary creatures, iron age civilizations, and different religions.
