The Kian Empire

The Kian Empire was officially created in 1001 CH by the Logoz Wilhelm the 1st. After defeating the Pirate Lord, killing a kraken, parlaying with a black dragon, taming hydras, finding a unicorn, and obtaining flying Dragon Turtle with a fortress on it's back, Wilhelm decide to establish himself as the dictator of a new empire.

Society

Most "citizens" of the Kian Empire live in a state of occupied fear. The only thing that keeps the empire together is Wilhelm's power. Having no successor, who knows what state of chaos will befall the lands Wilhelm has conquered once he dies. There are four different divisions Wilhelm "rules" over: an occupied Gnome nation, a conquered hobgoblin nation, a treated black dragon island, and a scatter network of pirates. These divisions only interact when Wilhelm commands them, and result in having no collective culture, or religion.

Economy

The empire has no main secure trade source. The pirates enforce trade taxes on people traveling through the North Sea, and force the hobgoblin and gnome nations to produce other resources for the empire to stay afloat. The black dragon only supplies lizardfolk soldiers to the empire in trade for gold collected from taxes. Kian trades passage visas for resources like wool, grain, ore, and lumber. What they can't produce or trade for they steal.

Military

Dominating the land, sea, and air, the Kian Military is the only reason the nation has survived this long.

Infantry

Exiting their ships, rag tag group of Kian soldiers have come to plunder your home. A riding party can be from the hundreds to the thousands range and is comprised of a wide range of forces, from leather strapped pirates, slaves, hobgoblins, lizardfolk, and gnome alchemists. The infantry is also reenforced with hydras and ogres.

Navy

The navy is composed mostly of pirate ships that scout the waters looking for prey. These ships come in a variety of carrying capacity, and weapon armament. These ships are full of the same forces used in the infantry.

Air Forces

The empire is most feared for its air power. After taking over the hobgoblin nation, Wilhelm employed the aid of the hobgoblin's trained brass dragon mounts. These sky raiders attack settlements and ships from the clouds. The dragons also defend the main air weapon: the flying dragon turtle. As the beast descends upon your homeland, you know you're screwed.
