The colonies are a dangerous place. Deep in the woods, ancient magics stir, bringing to life long dead covens of witches and warlocks. Along the shores, fog rolls in and people wander off or mutter unintelligible nonsense.
Despite this, people have come here to stay. Governors exert their will over the region. Too far away for any form of oversight, each colony is at the whim of their governor. The lives of the colonists range from free people to near slavery.
