Dakavite
The Jakkax may have a reputation for being tough, but they are eclipsed in strength by the Dakavites. Lumbering pillars of muscle and sinew, their stony hides transform them into moving fortresses. Slow to move, one can quite easily dance out of reach. Should they get ahold of you, however, they will quite literally tear you limb from limb.
Born on the fiery world of G'shak, which would be considered a death world by almost everyone due to it's rampant volcanic activity, seas of molten metal, and constant bath of unstable energy thanks to its red sun.
This has lead to the species developing an incredibly thick, almost stone-like set of scales that protects them from stray gouts of metal and fire. Strong enough to take rounds from emplaced guns in some instances, their scales are incredibly dense and heavy, causing the species to be quite slow. There have been some accounts of Dakavite individuals being caught and subsequently encased by a spray of molten metal and when their compatriots chipped away most of the metal, hours or even days later, the individual is often found alive and pissed about the chipping of their scales.
Despite the struggle of attempting to simply survive on G'shak, or perhaps because of it, the Dakavites developed into a jovial and loving society. That just so happens to take great joy in fighting and throwing one's self against an enemy to see who breaks first.
While not exactly martial, the Dakavites can be found in almost every conflict in the galaxy, using their strengths to great effect and usually only coming away with a few more scars. This almost eternal hunger for combat is paired by genuinely warm and welcoming conduct. One that throws many mortals off, especially their enemies.
When your opponent is genuinely congratulating you on nearly shooting their eye out, it tends to cause confusion.

Basic Information
Anatomy
The Dakavites are a thick limbed, reptilian species, that absolutely towers over the known races.
Their head sits in front of their shoulders with front-facing eyes and their whole body is balanced out by a thick tail.
Genetics and Reproduction
The mother gestates a clutch of six or so eggs that sit for about fourteen months before hatching.
Growth Rate & Stages
It can take Dakavite children upwards of sixty hears to reach physical maturity, while they reach mental maturity at about twenty-five years. Their famous scales don't grow and harden until they are around 15 years old.
Ecology and Habitats
While they are born from a planet of molten rock and metal, they generally like to live other places. Their population will flourish outside of deathworlds, but they don't like to live without the challenge.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Carnivorous, even having developed a system for chattel agrarrianism. Though it generally involves taking the herds of animals from other groups of Dakkavites.
Additional Information
Social Structure
While you could describe their social structure as 'clan-based', that is not a complete answer. It would be more accurate to say that their society follows a 'family' structure. Large groups of Dakavites are generally related by blood or linked through intermarriage and breeding. The oldest individual is generally considered the leader of a family unless they are deemed unable due to things like mental illness or debilitating injury.
Facial characteristics
Their faces are similar to that of the theorized massive reptiles of many planets ancient past. a stocky muzzle filled with sharp teeth. Two nostrils sit on the front of the muzzle, which have the ability to close completely should the need arise.
Average Intelligence
92 IQ
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
A remarkable sense of smell, able to smell distinguish separate ingredients in meals, perfumes, etc. Their hearing and sight, on the other hand, are far worse than average with sight taking the spot of their worst sense.
Civilization and Culture
Average Technological Level
Far behind the other Void-capable species, they rely on other species to provide technologies.
Common Dress Code
Dakavite clothing is traditionally similar to robes, being wrapped loosely around the body. The fabric is spun from the webbing of a particular cave-dwelling arachnid found on G'shak.
As mentioned before, molten metal is almost guaranteed to make it's way onto any Dakavire born on G'shak. So much so that the metal has become a cultural capstone, with many individuals getting precious metals dripped on to themselves in a process similar to a tattoo.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Cordial from their end, though other races find them stressful to deal with. Like dealing with a lion looking to like your face.
Scientific Name
Castellum Festivalus
Lifespan
Max lifespan unknown
Average Height
7 feet and 4 inches
Average Weight
500 pounds
Average Physique
Heavyset in the most extreme sense, there have been reports of Dakavites being struck full-on in the chest by a moving transport, and the vehicle coming away with more damage.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Their flesh itself is a red-ish orange color. though you would see very little of it as their entire body is covered in slate gray scales, similar to stone in texture and composition. their skin is only visible at the joints on the body.
The true distinction of character comes from the inevitable molten metal that will be sprayed on their hide as they grow on their home planet. Splashes of metal, gold, copper, silver, and iron can splotch themselves on their scales, giving them a shiny coat of valuable metal,
