The Willowood Chronicles

This world, at its core, is a fantasy setting like many others; however, it has some distinct differences which set it apart. The largest difference being that rather than having a single system of magic, this world has three. For those of you familiar with Sanderson's Laws of Magic, this world contains a soft magic, hard magic, and a somewhere in between magic system. All of which will have their own powers and limitations.

The world is being built for what I hope to be at least three books following a small band of adventurers. For many of you, this concept sounds very familiar. I was heavily inspired by The Dragonlance Chronicles when it comes to the idea of an adventuring party taking on conflicts from minor to cosmic.

It will be filled with a rich history forgotten by the peoples of the world. At least until the events of the past start effecting the future. A mysterious stone with an ancient prophecy presented itself about one or two generations before our adventuring party and for better or worse, they come to learn that they are involved.

There shall be four individuals who will come together by chance, and together by chance they shall change the world. -first line of The Recurring Prophecy
