Hyper-Borean
Hyper-Boreans have unnatural pale skin which gives them a sickly appearance in the eyes of other ethnicities. Their traditions are diverse and unique to their culture. Their language is distinctive, and relies on runes where the depth of an incision indicates tone, in its written form. For this reason, much of the poetry of the language is lost when transcribed to paper. Their traditional society is difficult to approach as an outsider. Their land is off-limits to foreigners, and their traditions value strength and martial capability. Hyper-Borean Clanns have a familial structure and strict hierarchical language. Hyper-Boreans have a reputation for fierce pride and a prickly sense of honor. They prescribe to an ancient religion, and most don't consider the Young gods to have ever truly ascended.
