Chloerosian

Denizens of Chloeros have skin which is ochre or terra-cotta, but is changed by their environment, and is the most distinctive or any ethnic group in the shattered lands. Due to their diet, particular pigmentation alters the color of Chloerosian skin creating horizontal stripes of color, especially beneath the eyes, and along the cheeks. These pigmentations are stereotypically green, but can come in shades of orange, blue or purple. In addition to this difference in appearance, Chloerosian tradition dictates that externalizing internal feelings visually is one method of contributing to building a healthy community. If an individual can look upon you and know your mind, then you are like an open book to be read, and this is considered valuable. This means that many Chloerosians dress themselves flamboyantly, sporting jewelry and tattoos meant to demonstrate who they consider themselves to be. It is rare that a Chloerosian goes without tattoos or piercings. The exception are the undressed, who forego this custom to act as diplomats, courtesans and spies. It is considered a necessity of their position, that their mind is not known. Chloerosians have mostly curly brown hair, and mostly dark eyes. It is the fashion to keep hair long, but hair length is not significant in their culture, so length and style varies.
