The City of Sorrows

Deep beneath the waves of the Sea of Tears hidden beneath the waves lies the ruins of a massive city. There amid coral reef grown rubble and decaying concrete lie secrets, and even farther beneath that lies the The City of Sorrows. A labyrinthine mass of fossilized tunnels seemingly made from human bones and skulls.
This city which is only known to a very few, is completely submerged as well, but in its silent passages no magic dwells. There only technology provides any assistance, making exploration costly, dangerous, and nearly impossible.
The one archaeologist who has done the most research into the city and its mysteries is Lord Anton Carvel the Vampire adventurer who has been able to survive the anti-magic conditions of the tunnels. He is currently attempting to devise a method by which he can enter the labyrinthine tunnels and truly explore this time capsule of the forgotten age.

History

These Catacombs are from before the beginning of the 3rd age, they were created well before the destruction of the second age even and have been lost to time and the waves now for eons. The fact that they still persist at the bottom of a city sunken beneath the waves is a miracle of engineering and may hold secrets to the lasting landmarks of the 2nd age.

Architecture

The catacombs themselves that make up the city of sorrows are dotted with rooms and passages, and while almost all of them are submerged occasionally one may find a pocket of water free space. The walls are lined with bones, now half fossilized by time and the scant sea life that has made it's homes among the remains.
