Merchant's Guild Hall
Purpose / Function
The Merchant's Guild hall is a complex of buildings in the city of Gellid that acts as a government center for the country of Hull as well as of The Merchant Guild more globally.
It also acts as a neutral meeting place for the various countries and political powers of Erryt to meet and have diplomatic discussions, address larger political and social issues and ultimately come together outside of their borders to solve problems.

Alterations
The Guild hall began as simply that, a place for members of the Merchant's guild to discuss and set standards for pricing and trade of goods. Soon though the influence weilded by the guild became unquestionable and the Guild hall began taking on more and more responsibilities, from housing embassies to holding diplomatic conferences. As time went on the building got more and more massive and now spans several buildings and a connected series of sub basements that serve the purposes of the most powerful guild on Erryt.
Architecture
The building is made in a style similar to the rest of Gellid, which is to say the wood, plaster and stone construction favored by Halflings. It is in no way small however, opting instead to use the Erryt standard measurements to accomidate several different body types.
The main building is a massive construction and is decorated with flags, art and goods from around the world, not just Erryt.

Defenses
The Guild Hall is guarded by the Merchant Guild's own private army of mercinaries. They are some of the best armed and trained soldiers money can buy.
Tourism
Tours are led hourly during the day through the various areas of government and the large halls of art and goods. Many a young merchant has gotten "the bug" from visiting the Guild hall in Gellid.
