Provost Camilla Ellestrom is the head of research at The Alexandrian University, having recently earned the position after a groundbreaking report and study of a supernatural entity, the 12th entity ever found that actually meets the standards of the term.
The entity was cornered and eventually defeated by The Black Betties, who handed the corpse over to the university shortly after. The incident abd the strange events that occurred afterwards, led Provost Ellestrom to study hemocyst class entities and even led to a successful entry to The Wetworks, a dimension of blood and the domain of an outsider goddess, The Red Maiden.
Her work, and near death experiences during these events impressed the university provosts, having been the only progress they have made on the topics for decades. Her work progressed further, developing new psuedoparanormal medicines from the Razor Briar, a rose like plant found in The Wetworks that the university officially titled "Camillas Rose" in the provosts honor.

Camilla has several distinctive achievements that she has become known for.

• She has written seven separate books on Hemocysm and The Wetworks.

• She discovered the anathema to Hemocyst class entities: Mercury.

• She discovered that The Razor Briar can cure most blood borne pathogens if consumed.

• Camilla maintains a strange but fond friendship with October Cicada Brooks, who currently lives at the University. The woman is undergoing various forms of therapy in an attempt to cure the passion, an addiction brought on by use of arcana sanguis

History

she was born and raised by Loise Ellestrom and Mikail Ellestrom. Her father migrated from sweden and settled with his american bride in Oregon, Washington. Camilla was born November 13, 1979 and was sickly through most of her childhood. She routinely encountered The Red Maiden at several times during her life. At first it was considered an imaginary friend as her first encounter was when she was 8. The Next encounter occurred when she was 10 and this is when her parents became concerned.
Camilla was often seen as a troubled child, exhibiting antisocial behavior and even hours of depression. These became significantly more severe when she reached her teens. The girl reach puberty at 13 and encountered at The Red Maiden once more.
This was the point where her parents decide to intervene as they actively sheltered Camilla. She knew nothing of sex, and yet it seemed this "woman of red" had told her about what was happening and what it meant. This spared her from an otherwise traumatic experience that she was not prepared to have. Her parents saw it as a direct violation of their rights as parents and after hearing the depiction of the woman from Camilla, had her examined and institutionalized.
Within two weeks Camilla escaped. She remembers the experience vividly as the drugs used to sedate her simply stopped working and her Woman in Red appeared before her. Within moments she awoke in a field of what would be called Razor Briar. Her Woman in Red was nowhere in sight and she was no longer in her room.
After joining with the University She learned of the Wet Works and the red Maiden and dedicated much of her research to anything related to them. The university considered her an enigma. It seemed that she had been placed purposely for them to find her. They found her wandering a forest in the middle of the night near a quarantine zone they were operating in. When they finally found out where she was supposed to be and that there were numerous reports on television of her escape, they took her in, knowing that her experiences were not hallucinations. She was 17 when she was officially indicted into the university, given the alias "Einstein" due to her being the youngest scholar to join, and already showing remarkable intelligence.
She worked in the research department among other Scholars of the University, and was specifically called upon when subject OS-12 was recovered. Her knowledge on Hemocysts wwere second to none. The woman was 25.

Legacy

Camilla has gained high status despite her social awkwardness. After the events that earned her the position of provost, she managed the scholars with expert efficiency. She remains one of the highest ranking members in the organization, and continues to make many discoveries as she heads deeper into the wetworks. These missions into the domain of The Red Maiden are iften the only time her peers can recall seeing her smile. Her mind still ails her in many ways and The Wetworks seems to be the key to discovering why, and how to remedy her afflictions.
