Fresh Food

With a war actively happening the existence of fresh food is scarce especially amongst soldiers. Most common folk are extremely limited in their food options due to rationing and soldiers only have access to pre-prepared rations that are inedible at best. Most soldiers have been known to trade or pay for fresh food some even trading entire paychecks or equipment. Fresh food can still be found in large quantities on the tables of nobles, political figures, generals, and other high status members of society. It is common for people to attempt to steal from military camps and soldiers. This has led to a general uneasiness amongst the soldiers and common folks due to the belief that they get better food. Some common folk will trade for soldiers rations as some soldiers will trade for common folks rations. It is common for soldiers stationed near farmland to take produce from the land and even kill livestock should they believe they can get away with it.
