Church of the Stars

"I'm not a big fan of religion. Gods are rather enigmatic and demand can demand a lot from you. The Lady of the Depths for example demands that you throw a coin into the sea before setting sail. But the Church of the Stars is somewhat simple, not to be confused with Cults of Sun and Moon, Coven of the Eclipse or even Soliocrany.   All they demand is gratitude towards the Stars that birthed us, and a small donation once a month. Rather simple, even I could do it. But of course, belief can be a weapon and some churches have been known to enforce some, frankly insane taboos. Some of them even demand child sacrifices, indeed this is what started the Coven to begin with."

Mythology & Lore

"All things were forged by the Suns and Moons of ages long past. The Watcher gave us knowledge in hopes that we may learn. The Philosopher gave us art in hopes that we may create. And in the time of Blood, even the Mad Moon taught us how to laugh and love, even if covered in red.   That is what the Church believes, that is what we know is true." -Father Henryk

Tenets of Faith

"The rules of the Church that aren't directly tied to the Grand Drakela Cathedral in Scalecrown tend to vary from place to place. Some places demand too much of it's followers, forcing them to leave town entirely. But here are some of the tenets from Drakela Cathedral itself.   1- Always hold onto hope. Change is inevitable in this world. Grand change. Even in this dying age where the Sun and Moon will surely perish at its end, even if it were to be cast into darkness for millennia, the Church believes that there will always be a new day.   2- Spare a coin, if you can. The Church is rather generous compared to other religions, renouncing its tax exemption from cities all over the world when well off. This is so that they can give back to the city what the city gives to it. constant supplies and resources are poured into the Churches and they put it to use in charity projects. Like building soup kitchens, hospitals and schools. If you see a beggar on the street, someone who truly needs help, first spare a thought, then spare a coin.   3- Be adaptable. Sometimes when push comes to shove, you aren't prepared for change. A new life in a new place, a sudden fortune or the loss of a loved one. The Church will always lend a helping hand to those who need it. They want you to know that if something goes wrong or if you're just not getting used to things, they will always be here to knock you back on your feet and teach you how to better prepare and react to these situations. Be prepared for change when you least expect it."
