The Volatile Realms

The Volatile Realms.   A name that rather suits a world on the brink of destruction. Once a lush populated world known as Zaria was pushed to near extinction following a large scaled war that concluded with the near annihilation of the world but that was over a thousand years ago now.   Now all that remains is floating islands that slowly spin around a heavily guarded core, which if destroyed would cause the remnants of Zaria to lose their flow of life and magic and float out into space thus killing any life that was left.   Many of the races here were from Zaria before the fall and now reside on the floating islands inside their drawn territories, out of these territories 3 main kingdoms shine the most:   The Royal Ressalum Empire, The Garalia Dynasty and The Republic of Aidredal. Learning nothing from near annihilation centuries ago still wage war over said territories as they aim to expand their rule.   Thou when Zaria ruptured into many islands, not only were it's natural residents lost, races and horrors from other dimensions also found their way lost in this world. Many of Zaria's "home" races see these new races as nothing as slaves and work forces to exploit since they take up valued room on the islands.   How will all the kingdoms fair, what about the new races, or what's weird with the core?
