Personal history
Professor Chano is holder of the Atlas chair in the Astrogation department at University of Bardley. His particular area of interest is in researching and finding the First Landing and has dedicated a significant portion of his life and research grants towards that goal.
Chano grew was born and grew up on Rehn, the son of Henrietta (nee Jones), a librarian, and Karl, an engineer in one of the shipyards. Thus, he had an early association with both academic research and starship construction and roles. At an early age, he demonstrated an intense ability to read and absorb information and that lead him to attending university and then an academic life.
His early interests were more mundane astrogation and programming jump drive software, but his attention was grabbed when he came upon some stagnant research about First Landing and started putting his astrogation training together with gathering research to locate it.
He was offered the Atlas chair in the astrogation department, an endowed chair promoting astrogation research and finding lost places that are still referred to in dusty texts of the past.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Chano has been named instructor of the year multiple times, although only early in his career as his research has limited his teaching time since he accepted the Atlas chair. He has also been recognized as a leading authority on the hunt for First Landing and has published several books describing his hunt for this long lost historical treasure.
