The Stalker's Glade
Deep in the woods by a small town is an enchanted forest, whose center is forever lush and evergreen. This is the Stalker's Glade.
Legend tells of three children who were once visited by the Spirit of the Forest who presented them each with gifts to understand this precious land and move about it freely. To the eldest, she tasked Protection. It was that child who became known as Stalker; a guardian who would move above, from branch to branch unhindered as she patrolled her charge all day and night.
Blessed by the fairy magic, the glade in which the trio made their home remained verdant year round; producing flowers, herbs, fruits, not only to feast on but for tonics, potions, and spells as well. Green grass is dotted with wildflowers of all colors - both natural and fey alike. Trees stretch high into the sky, casting unworldly shadows throughout the area. Despite the lack of rain or snow ever landing, the glade is lush and vibrant. A tall rock outcropping dominates the northern edge of the glade and creates sheltered area, in which a small stone altar has been constructed in worship of the Forest Lady and her Wardens. Close by is a small stone circle which some have claimed to have seen magical flames appear that produce light and heat but serve no threat to the trees nearby. To the east lies a stone and dirt wall, tangled with roots and vines, in the formation of a barrier that seems to brace a path and divert it to the south of the glade.
When the last rays of the day's sun creeps through the canopy above, small fireflies are said to populate the area in large numbers.
