Aldwian

The people of the Aldway Mountains are defined by their geographical isolation.
Although the difficulty of travelling from one valley to the next means that the people vary widely from valley to valley, that exact same isolation means that there's often little diversity of appearance within the same valley.
Take, for example, the Earldom of Gwedric, where the people are generally exceptionally pale and abhorrently freckled, with hair as fine as a cat's fur, and just as frizzy. Very few natives of Gwedric defy this stereotype.
This isolation also means that each valley has a rather idiosyncratic culture. Without as much direct influence from the more populous regions, the mountain peoples often retain more of their original languages and folk beliefs than might be otherwise expected.
