Nathaniel spent his youth serving in the crew of Brone Slater known as the Slater's Boys. After meeting his future wife, he escaped with her to the relatively remote planet of New Avon and settled down in New Avon Starport. They had one daughter, Aris Scoxand.
His wife was killed by Brone Slater after they hunted them down to New Avon Starport searching for "what Nathaniel had taken from them". Aris was also shot by the slavers and left to die. He helped saved her life but then fell apart emotionally, fully collapsing into despair.
A Second Chance
After never leaving his house for years and living only on the support of his daughter, Nathaniel was approached by Dash Reynard. Dash had a Mark of Fate with Nathaniel's name on it meaning that Dash was bound by duty to kill Nathaniel. Dash sat and spoke with Nathaniel and chose to spare his life in exchange for Nathaniel making things right with his daughter and letting the past die in his stead.Forced into Hiding
Nathaniel went back to work as an accountant at a local hub of Bua-Hio Multinational Transport, proving himself true to his word. Unfortunately, during the Hausaga Syndicate ownership of New Avon, Aris Scoxand was targeted with an impossible mission. The Crew of the Intrepid Explorer saved her life and bought Nathaniel and Aris time to escape New Avon Starport. They fled into the volcanic mountain caves of New Avon's western hemisphere together and made friendships with local nearby farms and villages to support them. This set the two up to be in an ideal situation to help others once the Krasian Meritocracy invaded New Avon. Nathaniel opted to return the kindness Dash Reynard had once shown him and began helping smuggling and hide undesirables from the Krasian Occupation. Almost by accident, he and Aris formed the New Avon Underground, the last hope for many desperate New Avonites.Assault on Sabbarton
Nathaniel and his New Avon Underground guards helped the Survivors of Ein Sof infiltrate The Hold to complete the objective of the Court of Scavs. 3 of his guards were lost in the distracting raid on the city of Sabbarton and he was wounded with a shot in the shoulder, but recovered with no serious complications. In return for their assistance, the Survivors of Ein Sof gave the New Avon Underground the KPO Combat Dropship and Titan Mechanized Armor that they had stolen and squibbed after a previous skirmish against the Krasian Occupation.Relationships
History
Things were extremely rough between them after Aris' mother passed away, but after Dash threatened Nathaniel's life and forced him into trying to live again, Nathaniel proved true to his word. He found a job and began providing for her again, no longer leaving her to fend for herself and him. However, the real bond came after the Krasian Occupation of New Avon. She saw her father's true colors after he began to dedicate himself to risking himself to save others. Together, they forged the New Avon Underground where they smuggled and helped thousands of New Avon residents.
