General Summary
The party debriefs with Neil Okri more, and he suggests that the reason they're struggling is that they don't have a fully rounded party. He introduces the group to Frocias Handley, who proceeds to show off his skills as an artificer. The group discusses their next job - Neil wants them to get out of town and lay low for a bit to let the humiliation of their rescue by The Wildfire Crew blow over. He needs a wagon of cargo escorting to Val Doheim, which should take them a few days each way. The wagon will be loaded and ready for them the next morning. The group takes a long rest.
<Overnighting, watching the wagons>
Due to his Elvish trancing ability, Vilnius decides to post up on the roof of The Drowned Crow to watch over the wagons. Eudaimonia Waring is sleeping in the stables nearby, bonding with the oxen ahead of their journey. Vilnius sees two men approach the stables empty-handed and go inside. Eudaimonia is aware that the men cast some sort of magic, and loaded the wagon with boxes that had not been in the stables previously. The men subsequently left. In the morning, Neil emerges from the tavern. It seems like he either didn't leave overnight or slept in the place. He hands over the address that the team should make the delivery to and sends them on their way.
The adventurers lead the loaded wagon and oxen West through the mountains. The snowy landscape of the high ground is oppressive in its barren isolation, and this high the tree cover is sparse. Eudaimonia can't shake a sensation that they are being followed, and Vilnius uses his Boots of False Tracks (provided by Frocias) to give the impression a Tabaxi is accompanying the wagon. As night falls, everyone agrees to make camp rather than push the oxen hard. Using their Elven trance abilities, Vilnius and Zylfinah take watch, along with Frocias's Lightning in a Bottle familiar. The night passes uneventfully. As they break camp some of the party take a second to coax a little more speed from the oxen. They continue along the path towards Val Doheim.
Around mid-morning, Vilnius is scouting ahead of the group and notices trees have fallen across the path. He returns to the wagon to inform the group.
