Highwalkers are an ethnic group of the Jinean species of Sahiba and originate almost exclusively from the small northern continent of Ahr. Because of the extreme environment in which they adapted from, Highwalkers tend to be wary of outsiders because they often do not meet their expectations. Racially, they come from the Fanged subgroup of Jineans, which is evident in the long, sickle-like saber teeth protruding from their upper jaw.

Naming Traditions

Family names

Family names are generally based around physical characteristics of the area the family comes from. For example, the family name Smuvvaodk, which translates to "snowpeaks", would describe the area the family comes from. For those who are not location-based, they tend to be influenced by physical prowess of the creature themselves, though this is usually reserved for given names and not family ones.
