The rank of the Supreme Imperator is a position of serenity and great responsibility. It symbolizes the strength and dependability of a father for the Universal Defensionis Imperium. This rank has existed for millennia but has only been occupied by a single person. One chosen by God himself.

Qualifications

In order to acquire this title, you must be chosen by God or the Imperator himself. This is due to the fact that the Imperator holds such a massive grip of authority on every aspect of the Imperium that if that power were to fall in incorrect hands it would cause devastating damage Universe wide.

Requirements

One must have an ancestor of the same rank and be appointed by that same ancestor. The explanation for this procedure those have political backlash but the Imperium takes by a grain of salt. This exists because the nature of this role depends on the holder possessing a certain set of supernatural abilities. Abilities which are only obtained through a direct blessing from God or by inheritance from a biological ancestor.

Appointment

The appointment of this rank must be conferred by the Supreme Imperator himself. Due to the lack of historical precedence of an Imperatorial Succession, there is no exact process or ceremony relating to being raised to this rank.

Duties

Duties are entirely on at the discretion of the Imperator but in commonplace take the form of designing, directing, and enforcing action in accordance with the necessities of the citizenry. Any failure to execute these duties would not result in any immediate damage to the people because the Ascendemcy would act to counter any negative outcome. Instead, the Imperator would be examined and if necessary deemed unable to lead.

Responsibilities

Must smoothly direct the progression of the Imperium at every turn and is expected to work personally in the event of military action. In a mundane standpoint, the Imperator is tasked with examining and approving any and all undertakings proposed by the central departments of the Imperium as well as identifying and personally resolving any shortcomings in the operation of these departments.

Benefits

Major authority over all aspects of the Imperium and access to the Imperatorial Manor. Though in any financial regard, the Imperator holds the same status as any citizen.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The Imperatorial Cross is a chest badge worn solely by the Imperator and consists of an Iron Cross laid over with a highly ornate star. It is worn solely by the Supreme Imperator.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Someone would be dismissed from this title in accordance with God's will. The procedure would be directed by the Ascendency and the use of the military would be authorized if the need arose.

History

The rank of the Supreme Imperator was used as early as the time of the Universal Defense Federation and was the only rank retained after the Imperatoria Correctionis Inpositis. In absolutely every major event in Imperial history, the Supreme Imperator has formed some part of it. Ultimately, the position has not evolved much, thanks to the initial and perfect design placed by God himself.

Cultural Significance

The rank of Supreme Imperator is seen with great respect and serenity, the holder being considered as one of the most righteous, just, and wise people in all the Imperium.

Notable Holders

There has only been a single holder of this rank in all of its existence that being Luis Andino, but the title was briefly held by Gwendolyne Andino and Jeevan Lizardi.

This rank would equate to that of Emperor within other Imperial governments. Though generally from a referent standpoint, the rank of Imperator is extremely unique. The Supreme Imperator has a rank that can be more accurately equated to an architect which is not a formal title. The Supreme Imperator is charged with designing and directing the well-being and safety of his people.
