Salire (Portal)

Effect

Portal

Side/Secondary Effects

You get a bit tired after casting it, but as you progress and cast it more and more, it becomes less taxing. It could also make your mind a bit tired at first since you probably aren't used to holding a picture in your mind with perfect clarity. All you need to do is practice and it will get easier. If the mind isn't clear when casting the portal spell, then the portal will either not take you to the place you wanted to be or kill you.

Manifestation

The portal looks like a circle filled in with color, although the color is different for every person. It swirls in and out of existence with little to no noise or smell.

Source

This spell is only able to be used if a person says the word to summon the spell, "salire" and pictures the place they want to be with perfect clarity.

Discovery

The people of Arean discovered it and have used it for a very long time. They wrote all about it in a book, which people can use to learn the magic.
Material Components
Usually, all you need to cast this spell is a clear mind and a picture of the place you want to go, especially if you've never been there before.
Gestures & Ritual
All that's needed is to say the word (salire) and picture the place in your mind, although many prefer to snap their fingers or point at where they want the portal to appear. It's up to the person.
Effect Duration
The spell lasts until either the person who cast the spell walks though the portal or they decide to close it. To close it, the person speaks the word "prope".
Effect Casting Time
It can take up to 30 seconds for the portal to appear, but can take only 1-3 seconds if a person practices enough.
Range
The portal can only be created within a radius of 60 feet in all directions from the spell-caster, including above and below that. Any farther and the portal will be unstable.
Level
This spell is for a intermediate spell-caster.
Applied Restriction
If there is a no-magic zone, then it can't be used. Also if the spellcaster's mind is too foggy and can't picture the place, then the portal will either not appear or be very unstable. Unstable portals will spit you in a place you didn't want to be, or in rare cases, make you disintegrate into the void.
