You may get tired after casting when you first create it, but after a while, you hardly get tired at all.

Manifestation

The shield can be any size and shape that one could imagine. It is smell-less and sound-less. It has a slight shimmer to it, and the color of the shimmer is dependent on the person. Usually about the same color as your portal. When it appears, it sort of pops into existence right away with only a bit of lagtime (read, 1-5 seconds. As you get better, lagtime is less).

You draw the power for the spell from yourself, which is why you get a bit tired after casting it. In order to cast the spell, you must say the word clipeum and picture where the shield is and how big/strong it is.

Gestures & Ritual

There are no gestures required, but many find it easier to create a shield in an area if they point to that place. One might also snap or clap for dramatic effect.

Effect Duration

On average, it lasts 15-20 minutes, although it can last as little as 5 minutes or as long as 30.

Effect Casting Time

It takes 1-5 seconds to appear, but you can cast it instantly. No preparation required.

Range

The max diameter for the shield is 30 feet. The max height is 20 feet.

Applied Restriction

If you are in a no-magic zone, then you can't cast it. If you can't concentrate enough, then you can't cast it.
