Willachi

Geography

Willachi is made up almost entirely of the Willachi Wilds a dense forest that covers the shard. The southern borders have the forest grow to grasslands as it approaches Great Hawk and to swamp in the east as it reaches Bollothglade. Starting from the settlement of Porte Magique the further north you travel, the denser the forest becomes and the harder it is to traverse. Throughout the shard is a massive watershed comprised of countless creeks, streams, and rivers that deposit into the many lakes and rivers that drain north into the ocean. Upon the main river is the capital Pilswood Pool, a city so known for excess and livelihood. Life in the Willachi Wilds is abundant, and many stories and fairytales have come from this land. People believe that The Willachi Wilds have a deep connection to the Feywild and that if you walk off the beaten path at the wrong times you may happen to move into the liminal spaces in between realities. However, no such thing has ever actually been documented.

Socio-Economics & Politics

The populous of Willachi is made up primarily of the native druids, and large populations of people in tune with the forest. Willachi is the only shard within The United Shard to have such a large single race populous. Originally the peoples from The Outside Powers moved here in large numbers as it resembled their former homes. However, since then the population has become more diverse as groups of peoples have moved in and merged.
During The Fracturing of the Shards Willachi was the fourth shard to openly agree to join The United Shard. They had come to enjoy the use of Low Magic Crystals and despised the fact that Yorkett was telling their people what they could and couldn't do. As Willachi is known for the freedom of its people to do as they wish.
