Session 6

General Summary

December 15th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits have caught up to the final member of The Exiled Outlaws, Satori Tamashi . Upon reaching him, the party attempted to question, however he went straight to standing his ground.
His first action was to palm strike his own chest where what appears to be a perfect replica of his form with a golden glow then stood as his body hit the ground. The body then began floating, as if it were being controlled like a puppet.
Combat than began, the golden soul ran across the battlefield attacking in rapid sucession against the party until Zelroth managed to banish him away for quite a long time. The remaining body then began to cast powerful magics. With its chest forcefully expanding to push air past its vocal chords he barraged the party, and Zelroth in particular with strong beams of magic. Zelroth then realized that the magic he was castin was identical to susan, his cat patron, which left him very confused.
The body then cast 4 major spells against the party. Upon saying "forget" feeblemind was cast upon Al "Rex" Jones causing him to lose his mind, though he was able to continue the fight. It then said "Begone" to Zelroth, however Zelroth was able to successfully counterspell. It spoke "Stop" to Romero "Shepherd" Theriot who was stunned for quite a few rounds before he was able to break out. Finally it said "Die" to Leon as it cast finger of death, which Leon was able to barely live through.
During this fight Zelroth did go down, and in his unconscious state, began through cloudy dreams remembering when he met Susan and gained his magic, as well as meeting up with the rest of the Blackiron Bandits and joining the gang.

Eventually both Satori the body, and Satori the soul fell in battle. His final words were "I have failed. I am sorry to my ancestors. These bandits have doomed us all. My only solace now is that my friends and loved ones will not have to bear witness to what transpires now." He then looked over to the party and said directly, "You have doomed us all."
He drops a massive pristine low magic crystal. Romero "Shepherd" Theriot believes that something of this magnitude could power something horrible.
The party then spent a while questioning what they should do from here. Ultimately they decided that the person in the military they trusted most was Stephan, the private in Wheatgrove they had met when they first arrived in the town.
They began their harrowing trek back to the outpost in which they left to find Satori Tamashi .

December 16th, 764

They travel through the tundra and wastelands. Shepard casts continual flame to help them stay alive during the trek.

December 17th, 764

They continue traveling through the tundra. Zelroth begins to succumb to the cold.

December 18th, 764

They continue their travels through the tundra. Romero "Shepherd" Theriot is able to cure Al "Rex" Jones of his feeble mind.

December 19th, 764

They reach the outpost, but Zelroth is in critical condition. Upon reaching the outpost, things are still torn to pieces from when Satori Tamashi came through here, however they have settled enough for people to be doing their jobs. Zelroth is immediately taken into emergency care and the rest of the party is sent to the barracks to rest.

December 20th, 764

After care, it is found that Zelroth lost all of his fingertips due to frostbite. The Blackiron Bandits are then approached by Donald Puckett to get the report of what happened. They hold back all information and say that Satori Tamashi did die, however they will only speak about the payload they were to retrieve after they have talked to private Stephan.
Donald Puckett doesn't like how fishy these guys are being, but after almost dying in combat next to them, gives them the benefit of the doubt and says he will escort them there, however he must have them under a full platoon watch the entire time. They agree.

December 21th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits travel by train heading towards Wheatgrove.

December 22th, 764

December 23th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits arrive at Wheatgrove. True to his word Donald Puckett keeps them under strict surveillance. The party enacts a plan to have Leon speak with Private Stephan seperately while the rest of the party talk with Donald Puckett and Captain James.
Eventually they spill the information that they did retrieve the payload and show all present parties. The Blackiron Bandits discuss how they are afraid of the awful things that this crystal could do, which is why they are so apprehensive. They then all decide to talk to General John Harper directly about this.

December 24th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits travel by train towards Aprimilla where the journey began to alk with John Harper

December 25th, 764

By end of day they reach Willachi and the fort in which they originally met John Harper . They question him about what he knows and if they can trust him. He tells them if he wanted them dead, they would be, and currently they are to be regarded as war heroes. He also tells him that he doesn't know what these will ultimately be used for and that once they were found they were supposed to go to the fort in Rougeford and be under strict lock and key until something was figured out.
The party then comes to a compromise with him. That they will hand it over, however they must be part of the guard and research team in Rougeford when it comes to this item. He agrees and the Exile of Outlaws campaign comes to a close.
