Welcome To The United Shard!
Whether you are one of my players or a viewer, this guide will help introduce you to the world in which Operation Rougarou takes place.
Also, feel free to also look around anywhere here on WorldAnvil to sate your curiosity about the world! There will be links here that bring you to articles listing out much more information about each aspect of the world and campaign. Additionally, there will be articles about deeper lore that may never be reached upon during play, as well as continual updates and new articles as the campaign progresses.
The Two Campaigns
I am currently having two campaigns taking place in The United Shard.
The first is a short prequel campaign called Exile of Outlaws in which the players who themselves are part of a gang must take on another rival gang,
The Exiled Outlaws, at the request of the military. It will see them travel across the country of
The United Shard as they hunt the outlaws down.
The second will be called Operation Rougarou in which the players will join the military expecting to take a part in the war effort when they get swept up into a special role full of intrigue. It will take place entirely within the city of
Rougeford a major port town within
The United Shard as they explore every nook and cranny, meeting many interesting NPCs, and unraveling what is going on.
Civil War, The United Shard, & Rougeford
The United Shard is a country newly formed during the onset of a Civil War called
The Fracturing of the Shards when it split from its former nation of
Yorkett over differing ideologies regarding
High Magic & Low Magic .
I highly suggest you take some time to check out the links here to learn more about the setting & greater conflict within and how it drives the actions of the world & its people. I also have a timeline of important events proceeding the campaigns on the home screen.
Player Information
The game will be a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition game. Exile of Outlaws will have the players start at level 12 as a gang of outlaws looking to take out a rival gang at the request of the military. Operation Rougarou has them starting at level 1, all joining the military from around the country to meet in the city of Rougeford for the first time. Anything that comes from a published DnD 5E book and not specifically banned in the
House Rules are allowed. Anything else will require permission from the DM. I would also take the time to read about the
Classes of the World ,
Religion and about each of the individual shards to get a feel of how the characters will fit in this world.

Game Platforms
This game will utilize here on World Anvil for its lore and world information. We will use D&D Beyond for character sheets and play on TaleSpire for the gameplay itself.
