Soulanda - Ancestral Guardian

Soulanda is neither male nor female but transients between both and is referred to as both 'he' or 'she'. It is said that 'he' is responsible for gifting words and spoken language to the civilized races. The ability to speak, sing, write, and read are within 'his' influence. Soulanda also claims an affiliation with the performing arts and unlike all the other Ancestor Guardians, 'he' does not work alone. Soulanda often sends out his four lesser spirits to enact his will - they are Beauty, Serenity, Song, and Eloquence. Actors, writers, and musicians will often say that they have been visited by one of these muses when inspiration strikes.

The Book of Soulanda is the fifth book in the Spirit Mandela and is written entirely in verse. It is illustrated with pictures of songbirds and beautiful women. Those who dedicate themselves to Soulanda are often scorned by society as free thinkers. They do not constrain themselves within relationships - believing that love is a currency to be distributed freely in all manners, and many do not hold themselves to gender - emulating their patron in all things.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Soulanda is portrayed as an androgynous humanoid with a smiling face and arms opened in embrace. His followers carry tiny representations of him on their person - these statuettes are varying in size and often have a phallic look to them.  In mythology, Soulanda is represented as a humanoid decorated in bright coloured silks or feathers. He is accompanied by four hummingbirds that represent his muses.

Holidays

Soulanda is venerated prior to any cause for celebration. He is a lover of wine, parties, and beautiful company. It is customary for dish of food or cup of wine to be left out for him at any social occasion just incase he chooses to attend.
