The Cloudcutter Shipyard
The Cloudcutter Shipyard sits next to the The Cloud Sea Docks and ha a twinned function, where the Docks hold trade goods and manage the transfer of things to/from Cloudcutters the shipyard is where they're built.
The "yard" is actually a set of piers that jut out into the mists, each housing a Cloudcutter in various states of assembly. There's usually rigging and scaffolding strung up in a complex web around the frames, but most work is done through levitation or creatures with elements of flight, making it a very dangerous area for anyone without those skills.
As one of the few places in the known multiverse that specialises in the construction of Cloudcutters from the ground up the shipyard crew are also experts in repairing damaged Cloudcutters, particularly those that have sustained enough damage they need to be let down from their flight enchantment.
A ship can take anywhere from a month to a year to build, and the shipyard is constantly a buzz of activity as they're constructed, vast sums of money changing hands to prioritise elements or install some new feature.
Once complete a ship can be sailed out and either temporarily stored at the docks (for a fee) or taken as needed by the crew.
Because of the nature of the business there are notice boards dotted around with details about potential crews, hoping to attract the attention of a new captain to take them on for the ships maiden voyage. Some of them also have less noble intentions and aim to mutiny and steal a new ship immediately, which tarnishes the reputation of all the crews that advertise in this way.
