The Realm of Primordial Chaos

The Realm of Primordial Chaos is a part of the Far Realms. It seems to exist as both it's own niche here, and bleeding through to all other Realms in the Multiverse. It is a zone of absolute anarchy, and feeds on the emotions of all other life. Insanity and mutation are common when living beings come in contact with it, and magical winds of energy are released & consumed by it. One regular occurrence is when it touches a planet in the Material Plane, is that it leaves a little bit of itself behind in one of two forms. The first way is an area that acts like a portal to this domain, and magical power blows through to it, and at the same out of it. The second is that instead of the previous way, it coalesces into a solid crystalline material called warpstone. It gives off extreme magical effects and boosts spells, while acts on the bodies of mortals, by driving them insane or mutating them.   As it's own Plane it has also it's own form of life. Collectively known as the Neverborn or Daemons, these creatures are shaped by emotions. This is caused by the emotions of mortals, and something that seems to power the Realm as a whole. Certain shapes are noticeable according to the emotions linked to the specific Neverborn. Other life exists here, and they are even more dangerous than the Neverborn. These creatures are known as the Gods of Chaos. Only three have been active lately though there is talk of far more. She Who Thirsts (or Slaanesh), Khaine, and the Horned One are known in some shape or form, and able to suck up the souls of their followers when they die. When this happens, the god is able to shape it's own part of the Realm, and create followers from choice souls or itself as followers. Either way they become specific forms of Neverborn.

Geography

To ascribe the geography of such a realm is impossible for a mortal mind to understand completely. The warping effect of such raw emotions, even controlled by any specific god, still makes the realm appear as a demented nightmare. Mountains appear thousands of miles high, yet when reached are centimetres high, or appear as an optical illusion shining of clear pools thousands of miles deep. The air appears on fire, the group twists, and hardens, yet goes as soft as water. Rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans appear in the sky, and flows upwards or downwards at a whim. Some even burn like acid or as if on fire. Colours change in an instant to hues that no mortal has seem before. Sound travels hundreds of miles or appears out of nowhere. Gravity is crushingly strong, or as weak as a new-born.

Ecosystem

No true ecosystem exists here. Being fed by emotions, and the odd soul of mortals, the plants & animals here are as twisted as geography. Some have a semblance of species when certain emotions pool together and multiple mortals die while under the effect of the emotion. Great flocks of gargoyle like creatures flock together, usually unclaimed souls who feel the more negative emotions in life. They tear through the skies looking for other creatures to tear apart and feed on.

Ecosystem Cycles

No ecological cycles exist in such a bizarre realm.

Localized Phenomena

There is an infinite number of localised phenomena happening at any one place at any given time. There are a few places, dominated by gods & powerful Neverborn within the Realm. Slaanesh has a large 'pleasure' garden and palace, Khaine has a massive fighting pit filled with warriors, and the Horned One has a city in the shape of a city & sewers combined. The shift, growing, shrinking, and warping depending on the whims & power of the god at any one time. This applies to another region called the Weapon Factories of Chaos. This region is dominated by Neverborn who live for war but not claimed by any god. It provides weapons, and armour for any who are willing to pay in souls, that never seems too much for the overlords of these.

History

Not much is known about the Far Realms to begin with, and this is true about the Realm of Primordial Chaos. It seems to have links to all Planes feeding of change, and anarchy, and the emotional effects of the creatures in these planes. It is thought that it formed at the same time as the other Far Realms, but nobody can be 100% sure.
