Tabaxi - The Curious

Tabaxi are a mysterious race of humanoids descended of felines. They are in the most part curious about the world and quite harmless, though when angered will fight back. They have the heads, fur, tails, claws & teeth, and whiskers of any cat. Each Tabaxi generally leaves their clan when they hit adulthood to explore the world, collect stories, and items to bring back to the clan. The latter happens in part when they start to age, and pine for their family again. Each is coloured like any type of cat would be, and have the natural dexterity of them, along with the natural ability to use their bite and claws as weapons. Their latter weapons can be used to climb as well.   No-one knows for sure as to how or when the Tabaxi evolved. All that is known is the vast majority originate from Africa, and make their way down the Nile, and spread out from there. Rumours persist, especially from those who have interacted with Tabaxi, that there is land beyond the Sahara, and a jungle of massive size exists. From there the Tabaxi live in numbers, and when word reached them of other cultures to the north and north east, they started to travel to these areas. Young adults are especially curious about it and bring the stories of the peoples, and their trinkets back with them to the Tabaxi tribes.   By nature the Tabaxi make excellent thieves, and other rogues, with excellent climbing skills, and a natural cunning backed up by their eyesight & hearing. A few settle in the lands they travel too, and team up with guilds of thieves & assassins. Most are outgoing and friendly, willing to listen to others tell stories all night long if possible.
