Haunter of the Dark, Black Pharaoh, Nyarlathotep
Haunter of the Dark, Black Pharaoh Nyarlathotep
Nyarlathotep is one of the evilest creatures in existence. The son of Azathoth the Blind Idiot God, he travels the world causing havoc in the mortal world of Earth appearing as an avatar regularly. He regularly appears as a black skinned man with no hair, and dressed in long coal black robes. Everywhere he goes insomnia, despair, nightmares, and insanity in any who encounter him. Highly strong, determined, able to shapeshift, and use telepathy. Many feel the need to bow to him when in his presence.
Carrying out his father's will when not dealing with his own agenda, he has been active for millennia if not millions of years. He is known as the Haunter of the Dark, and the Black Pharaoh. He acts as a messenger and herald of the Outer Gods / Great Old Ones, and is a master manipulator.
Ancient beyond most other deities he has caused extreme damage to many cultures & civilisations on Earth since life first arose. Seeing that his father, and their shared kin, is the dominant lifeforms on the planet, and all will bow down to them. When he walks, at least on a hard surface it sounds as if his feet are shod. The robes he wears covers his feet and can never be seen to be sure. He is also the most active of all the Star Gods in mortal affairs, and seems to delight in their eventual destruction.
Every ancient empire will have a story concerning him, though most won't have direct knowledge of Nyarlathotep. Many will blame other deities for his diabolical schemes, even other powerful physical powerful beings.

Ahhh! What a spooky character. I love the illustration, and definitely wouldn't want to come across him. I wonder what his true motivations are, and how his origin was? Can this scary villain be defeated?
Those are the burning questions. Adds to the creep factor for this character. Think I have the artist's name somewhere, or somehow attached to the pic. Does suit it though.
