Giant-kin - Half-Ogres / Ogrillions

Half-Ogres, also known as Ogrillions, are the product of an Ogre raping a human or humanoid female. The Ogre won't care what happens afterwards, and the female is left with the aftermath to fend for herself. Either way, if the woman survives being killed by the Ogre, the birth of the Half-Ogre will. This tragedy sadly leaves the Half-Ogre with no parents, giving the Ogre usually won't care what happened to it's off-spring. In many cases, if the woman can make it to safety, and the child is born & not left out to the elements immediately or killed afterward, then it will have a chance of surviving. Many Half-Ogres don't survive either way for one reason or another. Those that do, grow quickly, and take on much of the traits of it's father, though are variable in overall temperament. Some lash out in anger & violence, while others will separate themselves from society to avoid discrimination or bullying.
When they are fully grown Half-Ogres, are large humanoids, and not the brightest, though more so than Ogres. Their size, and strength makes them perfect as a form of shock troop for many armies, and can be found in many military societies. This can be anything from mercenary units, to shock troops serving humans, Dwarves, Orcs, and Goblins. When they live in any of these societies, they live in the slums, and working in manual labour where their strength & endurance can help them out. Most of these slums will also include Half-Orcs too, and they form better bonds with them than most other species.
Many Half-Ogres are pathetic creatures, whether living in human or Dwarf societies, or by themselves in the wilds. Their parentage & birth marks them out as being both outsiders, and as a danger to others. Very few will reach any level of respect & friendship outside of their own kind. A few will team up with adventuring parties seeing them as a temporary community of sorts.
