Dragonborn
The Dragonborn are a race with mixed blessings. Depending on the country they are in, they are either killed or revered. Each Dragonborn has either a predisposition to good or evil, depending on its scale colour. If it is a chromatic Dragonborn it has the chance of being evil due to the racial traits of chromatic dragons & Tiamat. If metallic it has the chance of being good. Not all cultures though view them this way. In countries such as Europe & the Middle East, they are generally viewed as evil, mainly due to some of the Abrahamic religions viewing anything to do with dragons being evil. That and some other religions & cultures having negative views of them. In the Far East, they are viewed differently and nearly worshipped as semidivine beings, tied to the gods. No-one is sure if there are any other places with Dragonborn in the world.
Dragonborn are hatched naturally from eggs, and are generally bulky, with muscled bodies, scales, reptilian eyes, claws, and sharp teeth. Many are expert warriors, and clerics devoted to the gods. Each is quite tough too, comparable to Dwarves & Half-Orcs. Each has a breath weapon like a dragon, and an immunity to whatever comprises it's breath weapon. They generally wear clothing though will usually avoid gloves, shoes/boots or equivalent, hats & helmets. Their body shape & claws make these awkward to wear.
They seem to have evolved in the Far East, early on before humans, and shortly after the wars between the dragons & giants ended. They have minimal knowledge of this time, and oral traditions are scarce at present. They do not breed as quickly or as much as some other species so their numbers were never big to begin with. When they tried moving west into Europe and the Near East they were pushed back, so it is rare to see one in these regions. A few do come and go, and decades can pass before one appears. When one does they are avoided at all costs and even the odd one attacked. For the most part Dragonborn avoid these regions, knowing that it is a culture shock for many of these peoples, and usually bear no long term ill will towards them.
