Bhoot

Bhoot, or Bhuta, are ghosts in India and are considered perturbed or restless preventing from moving on to be reincarnated or entering Nirvana. Commonly depicted with their feet facing backwards, they haunt almost any area or region, and usually appear floating above the ground as they try to avoid touching the earth as they consider it sacred.
