Mental

• Personal History: When Thydune's clan was attacked on a journey along the Old Road to Llane Woods in 580 EWP, his general told him to run and seek out safety with King Delsaran of Gulonde. Thydune ran as fast as he could along the Old Road, never looking back and never stopping to eat or drink. He reached the gates of Gulonde just as his body gave out from all his energy use. He was taken to the healing rooms and a gentle voice in his mind told him to drink the bowl of soup that would restore his energy in one night. When he awoke, he could only remember the voice and why he had ran so hard to reach Gulonde, so he requested an audience with King Delsaran.
  King Delsaran came to the healing rooms and was shadowed by a young woman that seemed quiet but exceedingly happy. After telling King Delsaran what had happened to his clan and why he had run, King Delsaran told Thydune he would be welcomed into his clan but must continue to be a soldier. Agreeing, Thydune followed the young woman around the city to learn where everything was. She introduced him to Akkar of Edoburn who was to be his new captain, then walked him to an open house in the city and told him that if he needed anything that had not already been provided in the house, to find her and she would help him however she could.
  After six years of excellent service, he was promoted to being able to protect members of the royal family whenever needed. Thydune was sent to guard King Delsaran and help find Princess Faylen after she and her mother had not returned from harvesting in Dragon's Veil. He left the search party at Queen Meriel's body when he saw movement in the tree above them, and quickly scaled the tree to find Faylen hiding with tears streaming down her face. He convinced her it was safe to come back down and stayed glued to her side the entire way back to Gulonde, comforting her and protecting her. He stood outside her bedroom door for the next two days and nights, then kept her right next to him as the entire clan fled to Twilight Woods. Over time, Thydune taught Faylen how to fight with swords and is part of the reason that she is so gifted in battle.
  
• Employment: Thydune has always been a soldier, although his talents were once wasted when he was assigned to guard King Delsaran of Gulonde.
  
• Morality & Philosophy: As an elf, Thydune has high morals with a strong sense of what is right and wrong, however they have been slightly skewed by the rule of King Delsaran and the current war. Thydune ignores his morals when a human is the one that is in need, unless directed otherwise by Faylen. He believes that elves are better than humans in many ways but that humans simply need better examples than what King Betyn is giving them.
  
• Taboos: Thydune follows the law of elves where romantic feelings are concerned and refuses to find a romantic interest in any humans.

• Motivation: Thydune wants to bond with Faylen so he does everything she asks without question in hopes that she will notice his affection for her. He also jumps at opportunities to protect her or help her with something.
