Hulik Crovan
Many years ago, a Ward Militia patrol encountered Hulik Crovan travelling through the Endoval Forest. He was thin, malnourished, and had clearly travelled a long distance, but would not speak about where he came from. He was brought back to Cerelon, and soon recovered his health.
Hulik joined up with the Ward Militia, where his talents for combat and tactics flourished. He was the captain of the guard for the Buckles District in 138CF when Ironhorn breached the outer gate and lead the fight to repel the invading Margr. The battle lasted for several hours, with Hulik eventually finding himself in a direct confrontation with Ironhorn. He was able to force Ironhorn back whilst the rest of his men forced back the other invaders, but in doing so, he was severely maimed.
His right hand was severely gnawed and had to be amputated, and while he was able to keep both his legs, his left leg was severely scarred and he has walked with a pronounced limp ever since. He has remained a member of the Militia, but no longer performs duties where combat might be expected. Instead, he now helps train the new recruits and handles locking the gates of the Caravanserai at night. He is often known by his distinctive cane, a black synth rod topped with a fragment of Ironhorn's left horn. He is often accompanied by Nudj, his beloved Seskii, who is his fierce protector and friend.
At the end of a long day, Hulik can often be found enjoying a drink or three down at Crawl On Home. There are many who will come to hear tales of his battle with Ironhorn, and many more who simply appreciate what he did for Cerelon. As a result, it's been many years since Hulik has needed to buy his own drinks.
