Dwellers Below

Untervohnen, Ypozoi, Infernali, Souterains, Sheol, Nithers. The dwellers below are known by many names in many lands. Their descriptions are varied, their origins unknown, and the tales told of them diverse, contradictory, and fanciful. Outside the deepest Dwarven settlements, few who live have ever seen them, and those glimpses were distorted by flickering torchlight and the fury of battle and flight. They rule the deep places of the inner earth. Their teeth are sharp, their hearing keen, their eyes adapted to darkness, and their crude weapons tainted with filth and poison.
They hate all who live upon the surface of the earth.
