Biscelli

The bustling port town of Biscelli, the City on the Water. Like its name implies, half the town is built on a pier that has been continuously added onto as the town grew. Most of the merchant's stores are made by passing ships that lower the gangplank onto the docks and put up a sign next to it advertising their wares. People of all stripes are commonplace in Biscelli-- Icari couriers resting their wings at the tavern, Drakish mercenaries guarding precious cargo, dwarven workers retiring from a long day at the shipyard, elven missionaries tending to the homeless and sick, or human nobility passing through.

Demographics

Humans occupy the largest percentage of the permanent population at 60%, followed by elves at 25% and dwarves at 7%, Icari at 5%, halflings at 2% and Drakish at 1%. Although this may be the case, much of the city is impermanent residents at any given time, the majority of which are travelling merchants, mercenaries, or adventurers.

Government

Biscelli is beholden to the kingdom of Teios and its current monarch, Queen Ysolde.

Assets

Biscelli is a massive mercantile port and industrial center for ship building, metalsmithing, and carpentry. Their natural resources include fish, lumber, and iron, but the most economic benefit comes from the stream of traders and merchants going in and out of the city to sell their exotic wares.
