The Threads of Magic - Summer Camp 2019 Journal

My campaign The Threads of Magic is set mostly within the Feywild which, by definition (at least in my homebrewn world), is a place which is hard to categorize. Locations keep changing, disappearing for centuries, reappearing without explanation, magic keeps messing things up... And because of the inciting incident that started my story, things are even more chaotic than usual. So I thought I would challenge myself by developing a world that is constantly changing, where things are never quite the same. At the same time its denizens don't change for centuries upon centuries - those pesky, immortal Fey, they tend to be very stubborn. Tradition is important, and hard to break. This world has dark fantasy, mystery, fairytale, and weird influences, as well as victorian, gothic, magicpunk, and clockpunk sensibilities. It's a place where magic triumphs over science, where not everything makes sense - at least not to the minds of the ones who cannot comprehend the chaos of the Feywild. Some would call those people mad... Others think the Wild itself is madness incarnate. There are always several sides to a story.
