Inquisitors of the Holy Church

While the town guard or reeve are typically the ones to handle most criminal investigations, those cases that fall under the jurisdiction of the church (directly or indirectly) are handled by one or more members of the Holy Inquisitors. They work with the Church, and are therefore independent from the imperial guard.

Public Agenda

The Inquisitors exist to protect the Church and the Church's flock from threats outside of the empire and within.

History

The Inquisitors of the Holy Church were created as a supplemental force to aid Gideon's Watch in any investigations that required a certain finesse the Watch did not typically utilize.

Come to think of it, I don't remember ever meeting the same Inquisitor more than once. How many members do you think they have?
