Duke Aniketos III

Aniketos Mesimeriou III is the Duke of Enaidia. He is generally seen as a kind and benevolent ruler.

Early Life

Aniketos was born on 17 Xelona, 995 SF during the reign of his father, Duke Aniketos II. His mother, Duchess Thekla, was the eldest daughter of a noble family from Ulkesh. He was named for his father and grandfather.
An only child, Aniketos knew it was very likely that he would succeed his father as ruler of Enaidia, and took his studies seriously from a young age. In addition to the many academic subjects his tutors expected him to master, Aniketos frequently ventured beyond the walls of the Duke’s Citadel to observe and speak with the common people of Sunkeep.
At fifteen, Aniketos was betrothed to Korina Vascou, a young noblewoman from eastern Enaidia. They were married in 1014 SF, shortly after Korina came of age. The young couple became parents to a set of twins, Theophilos and Artemisia, a year later.

Reign

Aniketos II passed away two months after the birth of his first grandchildren. Aniketos III ascended the Enaidian throne on 3 Semender 1015 SF, and quickly established a reputation for kindness and benevolence toward his subjects. While he maintained a firm diplomatic hand with foreign nations, his domestic policies proved generous.

Aniketos is the son of Duke Aniketos II and his consort, Duchess Thekla. His wife, Duchess Korina, passed in 1039 SF. He is a father of five, and has six grandchildren whom he is intensely fond of.

Religious Views

Aniketos, like every member of his House before him, is a follower of the Court of Eight religion. He does not favor any one god over the others, and makes a point to visit each of Sunkeep's four temples on a rotating basis.
