The Rafters
The Neptunian Recon and Assault Force or NRAF is commonly called the Rafters due to their Warworld and the fact that most of their recruits come from oceanic worlds. The Rafters were originally planned to be a regiment made entirely from some of the best each regiment had to offer and put into strike teams. However, it was quickly repurposed due to a significant schism in some regiments on the matter of religion; a multitude of regiments were reporting growing incivility between small groups of religious fanatics and the rest of the regiment. To combat this problem the UFHH put all religious fanatics into the rafters to keep tension within the majority of regiments. This choice left the Rafters to a very rocky start as every group thought they were right and everyone else was wrong. Eventually larger groups began to form until the Rafters as they are currently known emerged; a group of religious fanatics all believing everyone that doesn't believe what they believe is merely missguided or has a different interpretation of their god. Due to the majority of their recruits coming from oceanic worlds it is not uncommon to see them wearing things like fishing nets over parts of their exo-suit or using military grade versions of things like harpoon guns.
Recruitment
What qualifies a person for the rafters is “a devotion to one's religion to the point at which it could be detrimental or dangerous to those around you” an easy example of this would be if you had two people from a religion where they are told to pray at noon every day a member of that planets regiment would believe that they could pray around noon or if circumstances left them unable to pray their god would realize this and forgive them. A member of the Rafters would pray precisely at noon everyday no matter what task or situation they are in, making them unreliable during certain times of the day. This is not meant to be offensive or an attack on religious people. It is merely meant to be a hyperbolic and satirical representation of VERY traditionalist religious groups, like the people who still believe it's okay to stone adulterers and homosexuals. It is not meant to represent the average religious person and should not be taken as such.
