Homework 1: Pledge
Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to? My worldbuilding efforts are tied to The Sorrow of Souls novel series that I'm working on. I have an army of anxiety brain-gremlins who are making it incredibly difficult to finish writing the first book, Harbinger. What world are you working on? The Sorrow of Souls series is set in my only world on WA. While the world itself doesn't currently have a name, the countries I focus on are located in the Saeric Basin. Which area of the world(s) are you working on? The Saeric Basin is bordered by four main countries: Kredashmi, Raskvaeric, Lormont, and Versarna. I'm happy to bounce from country to country, depending on the nature of the prompts. I'd also quite like to work a bit more on biographies of Saeric people, because I honestly find those the hardest to write. How much are you aiming to complete? In an ideal world, I'd love to obtain the diamond badge, but I'd happily settle for any this year, given how hectic my life feels. When will you write? I'm hoping to write whenever my my brain, motivation, dyslexia and anxiety brain-gremlins (WOOOO, IMPOSTER SYNDROME!) let me. But I'm also job hunting at the moment. Hopefully I will find a few hours in the day (or night) that I can just dedicate to writing. Who is your support network?I have found a wonderful group of people on WA who are just so endlessly creative, talented and supportive. I don't get to socialise with them as much as I would like, but hopefully Summer Camp will help give me that extra nudge. I can't wait to cheer everyone on!
The wonderful Dr Emily Vair-Turnbull, who I am friends with IRL, will be spending a week at mine, which... should be Camp-focused and hopefully won't end up with us binging too many murder documentaries.
My husband may occasionally bring me tea. My gerbils will probably also find themselves having lots of cuddles and snoot boops.
