volurant

A volurant or skycraft is an airborne vehicle. They consist of a hull, one or more balloons filled with aether, rotors for controlling ascent, and propellers for movement. The aether balloons do not provide enough lift to raise the craft, instead falling just short. The rotors, which are powered by elemental engines, provide the force required to raise the craft into the sky. Volurants are used throughout the Sora and are seen as predecessors to soracraft.
