Ameti
Ameti is everything that those in power loathe. They are a shapeshifter, a changeling and druid, an unregistered healer, a cleric of wild Vixnili, and a criminal, a bandit and assassin targeting those of wealth.
Ameti is a changeling grown up in the forest of Frebesh, a naturally made druid that learned how to extend their powers of shapeshifting from humanoid shapes to animal shapes. They draw their inspiration from the beasts of the deep, dark forests, giving them vicious shapes much deadlier and dangerous looking than those from the brighter forests closer to the rest of society.
After their forest was burnt down by people seeking to build a new country home and loathing the sight of the black forest, Ameti was driven to leave the woods by the desire for revenge. Ameti used their power of beast shapes to observe those responsible for ruining her home and burning so many of her beastly friends. They learned that the young master of the house was a lecher, and with their changeling shapeshifting they took a shape appealing to him to get into the manor. Once able to roam the building as they wanted, Ameti killed every member of the family.
hey set off, searching for the rest of those who set the forest on fire, and as they traveled they saw how miserable people were without any money and ways to heal each other even from the smallest injury. Feeling that they should do something about it, as they learned that it was people with money that were the problem, they tricked their way into a wealthy man's home and stole his money, which they paid a healer with to help the injured people, and spread to those that needed it. They would find out that not all healers did everything that they could, simply doing the bare minimum, if even that, and the fury that Ameti felt at that led them to seek a way to personally help. This brought Ameti to Vixnili, who granted them powers of healing in return for their devotion.
Ameti went on tricking their way into rich people's homes, stealing from them and, if they deemed it necessary, killed them as well. They healed those in need for no compensation and gave money to the people without any. It took a while, but eventually the wealthy figured out that a shapeshifter was doing all this, gaining the support of the common folk while breaking so many laws. Thus far, the Shape Chasers have been unable to catch Ameti, who has been doing the good work while doing both good and bad deeds for nearly twenty years.
