Ardour (Er-do-er)
The Ardour are a mysterious underground group of magicians who have learned the rare ability to twist the fabric of time, changing the permanent seal of time, unbeknownst to the rest of the Rhift. Many of the political higher powers are aware of their existence, but none can join together to stop them and their unknown agenda.
It has long been believed they originated in the Shrouded World, leading to their mysterious background. They are most prevalent in Florent, the decaying empire of the north, showing up for small windows of time before disappearing back into the fabric of magic and time. The kingdom of Florent has little awareness, as they are constantly fighting threats from four sides, and their dwindling power is a bigger existential threat to the kingdom then the group of rowdy magicians.
Famous known members of the group include the great Magnus Mobius, Creleb Bornefell, and Ylonon the Master. Many aspire to join the ranks of the Ardour, but few find the contacts to reach them. The elite few who are able to open time portals to the past or future are known as 'List Turners' by those outside who know of them. Anstikell and Phonica adress their concerns of the time bending frequently, but are too concerned with conquest to create action against them, pouring their entire resources into the almost complete conquest of the Empire of Flourent.
History books dating back several hundred years speak of the existence of time travelers and benders, though no sightings are actually reported of one person in two periods of history.

Qualifications
There are rigorous qualifications in order to accompany a List Turner on a mission into the past, including but not only: Military Academic Training of some sort, Ability to withstand severe wheather and mental impediments, survive harsh integration without breaking, and the ability to survive.
To become a List Turner, it becomes even more rigorous. Only four Turners have ever walked the earth.
Career Progression
From a lower tier Ardour to a List Turner is an insane jump, only four have ever learned how to actually use time bending, and only two remain: Magus Mobius and Creleb Bounrefell
