The Sixth World

The Sixth World is just like home, only a little different. You see, the world was awakened on Christmas eve, 2011. Magic returned to the world and the first dragon was sighted in the sky. Earlier that same year, the Unexplained Genetic Expression had caused human mothers to give birth to elves and dwarfs. And in 2021, many humans started to transform into orks and trolls in the event known as Goblinization. In 2034 the Human Meta-Human Vampiric Virus, a retrovirus which systematically re-shapes the human aura and genetic code transforming them into forms reminiscent of the night-stalking monsters of legend, was isolated. Known simply as HMHVV, the three strains of "the monster virus" has brought us to where we are today: A magical world where the powers and beasts of fifth world children stories are just as common as power shortages and contaminated water. Wow, how I love this hellish home of ours.   The change probably began even earlier with the outbreak of Virally-Induced Toxic Allergy Syndrome or VITAS. It is an illness caused by a highly-lethal, highly-communicable airborne virus. During the first quarter of the 21st century, it killed billions. And VITAS is still around.
